My passion for racing and F1 comes with lots of time spent away from them, and takes a lot of energy,” said Sebastian Vettel when he announced his decision to part ways from Formula 1. But even the greatest drivers, like Michael Schumacher, who also happens to be Vettel’s hero, came back to the racing world after retirement. Will Seb’s career take the same trajectory?

Vettel sent Formula 1 fans into a frenzy when he recently tested the Porsche hypercar that will run in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race in June. The four-time winner said there’s a possibility he could make his debut in the famous race. Can he come back to the racing world?

According to Skysports, Sebastian Vettel said, “Maybe, I don’t know yet. I’ve been testing. I was curious, so I wanted to see how it felt. It’s obviously a different discipline. It’s still racing, but it’s a different car, a different discipline. Lots of things that excite me, lots of different things, not necessarily just looking at something behind the wheel but also outside the car. I am (tempted) and I’m not. I am obviously also looking for lots of other things and there’s lots of other things that do interest me outside of racing.”

While this is a solid reason to excite fans, there are also rumors of Seb making a comeback with Merćedes. Can that ever happen?

“I am speaking to Toto”: Sebastian Vettel hints at F1 comeback

Lewis Hamilton has moved to Ferrari and left a six-championship-worth hole for Toto Wolff and company to fill. And the rumor hasn’t stopped, from Carlos Sainz to Fernando Alonso to even Sebastian Vettel. Every name has cropped up, and the tabloids have been reporting about the German’s contact with the German team. And Vettel has now answered in the affirmative.

“I am speaking to Toto. I don’t know if that qualifies as Mercedes, but about other things,” the German told Sky Sports News. “I’m talking to a lot of people because I know them, but not very specific. I mean, obviously, it does cross my mind. I do think about it, but it’s not the main thought.”
