The British Grand Prix gave the ongoing F1 season a whole new complexion. Although Max Verstappen and Lewis battle resumed their battle at the top, the Dutchman suffered a heavy crash on Lap 1. While the crash ended his race, he was forced to go to a local hospital for precautionary checks.

While Verstappen returned from hospital later last Sunday, he stayed away from racing for a couple of days. However, the 23-year-old took to the simulator to keep himself focused ahead of the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix.

Despite taking his fifth pole of the season at Silverstone, Verstappen’s weekend ended in disaster. While both he and Hamilton started the race excellently, they raced wheel-to-wheel in the first eight corners.

However, at Copse corner, Verstappen’s right rear tire clipped Hamilton’s left front tire. This sent the Dutchman straight into the barriers, which left him winded from the impact. While Hamilton won the race, he closed down the gap between him and Verstappen substantially.

With just six days to go for the next race weekend in Hungary, the 23-year-old gave an encouraging update to his fans. He took to Instagram to reveal he will take part in a simulator race with Team Redlines.

Verstappen put a photo with the caption, “Back behind the wheel! Driving for @teamredlinesim in the 24H of Spa.” Yesterday, Team Redline revealed Verstappen will be a part of their team along with other sim racers like Gianni Vecchio and Jeff Giassi.
