Amid a struggling season, Sebastian Vettel has finally started showing his true pace and is looking to end 2020 on a high. With less than a month left for his Aston Martin switch, Vettel’s return to form might have just been timely. However, there is still a question of how quickly the German could adapt to the Pink car.

Well, Vettel’s compatriot, Nico Hulkenberg, sounded assured that the four-time world champion’s move to the mid-field team will be a success.

During an interview with F1-Insider, Hulkenberg opened up his thoughts on whether the Racing Point’s car will suit Vettel.

Of course, he will need a period of adjustment, like every driver when he changes racing teams,” Hulkenberg said. “He will have to get into the groove, both in the car and in the team.

But he will master this. In the end, every car reacts critically at the limit. And it is our job as drivers to find the absolute limit and deal with it.”

Hulkenberg was part of Racing Point over three race weekends this season. Hence, he is aware of the car’s characteristics and is consequently assured that it will suit Vettel.

Hulkenberg confident Sebastian Vettel – Aston Martin switch will be successful

The Racing Point’s reserve driver pointed out the fact that the ‘Pink Panthers’ have always punched above their weight. Hence, with an experienced driver like Vettel under their sleeve, Racing Point’s future will be a success.

First of all, of course, he will have a completely different team compared to Ferrari,” Hulkenberg said.

An English team with a long history, which has never been a top team, but which has often, even when I was there, fought above its weight class with little means,” Hulkenberg said.
