The ‘big three’ teams of F1 have reduced down to ‘big two’ now. Ferrari have had a frustrating season and as a result, the P3 position on the constructors’ championship is wide open.

Racing Point, McLaren, and Renault have been consistently fighting for the P3 position on the standing. A double podium finish for Racing Point at the Sakhir Grand Prix surely helped their cause.

Meanwhile, Esteban Ocon’s first podium finish helped Renault significantly as well. However, the P3 position is still wide open for all the teams to grab on to. A total of 44 points are left on the table for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Racing Point had the worst possible outing at the Bahrain GP. Both their drivers failed to finish the race as they failed to score even a single point that weekend. However, the drives helped the team bounce back pleasantly.

They managed a double podium last weekend at the Sakhir Grand Prix. Sergio Perez won his first Formula 1 race as Lance Stroll drove his Racing Point to the P3 position. The pair scored 40 points for their team and they jumped to the P3 position with 194 points and one race to go.

Since then, the Spaniard has clocked four top-five finishes in the last six races, accumulating a total of 56 points. Meanwhile, Lando Norris has added 22 points in the last four races with a P4 finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
