The world of Formula 1 is currently at a standstill as the sport is experiencing its summer break for the 2022 season. From the drivers, engineers, and team principals to freight forwarders, everyone gets to have some time away from the grid. What do they do in these times? Lewis Hamilton, as a driver, explains.

This isn’t just in case of the summer off, but also for all the other non-race weekends. While many enjoy personal space, traveling around the world in these times, their routine differs very much from the usual race on weekdays. Seven-time world champion explains his daily routine on such days.

In an interview from 2016, the Mercedes man stated what he does on a non-race Sunday morning, by saying, “Get up, go to church, then come home, relax.”

“Take the dogs for a walk. Go to lunch or brunch with some friends. Go to beach. Depend on where I am. I guess I’m never in a same place on a Sunday, but that’s a perfect Sunday.”

As for race weekend, usually needs a lot of preparation for the drivers. Specifically for Sundays, the pressure on them probably remains even more during the qualification, the day before.

Race weekend or a non-race weekend, there’s one companion who’s never away from Lewis Hamilton. He is Roscoe, the celebrity dog of the Mercedes driver. As mentioned by the multiple F1 world champion, Roscoe is his best friend.

Known for his popularity, Roscoe earns an astonishing $700 each day apart from his treats and care from everyone he meets. Vegan by his diet, Hamilton made sure his companion also follows the same.

Roscoe, also known as Roscoe Hamilton, has around 630k followers on Instagram and is one of the most renowned dogs in the world.
