Everyone is eagerly waiting for the new season of ‘Drive to Survive’ to drop in. The Netflix show has really captured the audience in a manner that was previously unseen. But this season is arguably the show’s most anticipated one because of the extraordinary 2021 F1 season that fans just witnessed. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner mentioned he has seen a sneak peek of the current season and is thrilled about it.

Horner revealed he watches the show in his downtime just like any F1 fan. But this season it’s going to be watched by a record number of fans because of the intensity of the season involving Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

I just had a preview of the first four episodes: Christian Horner

As reported by Talksport, the Red Bull team principal mentioned that he has seen the first 4 episodes of the new season. Although the Netflix show is maybe divisive to some, Horner stated the importance of it.

“The latest season is just coming out, and I just had a preview of the first four episodes. This season is insane because of the rivalry between Lewis and Max. It’s obviously a fly on the wall. You’ve got to remember they’re making a TV show as well. But for what it’s done for the sport, it’s phenomenal,” said Horner.

The Red Bull team boss revealed the reason Max Verstappen won the title in Abu Dhabi. He mentioned they were not lucky throughout the season but were crunching in the pressure moments.

“Tactically, we were sharp at the end. When the crash came five laps from the end, we reacted immediately. We got Max in, pitted him for a new set of tires. Mercedes left Lewis out on what was 44-lap tires at the end of their life.

“Max had to make that pass on the last lap, which he did. There has been some hiding around the controversy,” said Horner.

The moment was arguably the most intense of the season and they just reacted sharply to it. Let’s see how Drive To Survive portrays the final moments of the season. The season is out on 11th March.
