The 2021 F1 season woke up to a rather exciting Lewis Hamilton – Max Verstappen saga, which looks strong enough to continue beyond this season as well.

However, in this inaugural title rivalry, the seven-time world champion has constantly stated that the flying Dutchman is running away with the championship. But Red Bull’s boss, Christian Horner, isn’t falling for Hamilton’s ‘kidology.’

What did the Red Bull F1 boss say?

As reported by GP Fans, Horner opined that there is a long way to go in the season, and is too early to judge who holds the upper hand in the race for the 2021 title. “So early in the season to talk about running away with anything,” Horner told BBC Radio 4.

Lewis loves a bit of kidology, trying to move the spotlight away from himself which is part of the gamesmanship of any sport. It is such a long season. And with 29 points available this weekend a 32-point lead can vanish very quickly.”

In the past couple of seasons, Verstappen has been the only driver to torment Mercedes in the United Kingdom. Not to forget the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, where the Dutchman showcased a tremendous level of pace to beat Hamilton and his teammate with ease.
