English actor Tom Holland revealed he had a dinner meeting with F1 ace and fellow Briton, Lewis Hamilton. He talked about Lewis, holding him in high regard, and mentioned his human qualities and his racing achievements. Fans are well-aware that Hamilton lost out on a crucial title win in Abu Dhabi. And what made it worse was that it came after a series of unconventional decisions from the racing committee.

The greatest individual to have donned an F1 outfit, Hamilton accepted the defeat gracefully. However, his silence speaks volumes about how he felt “robbed” of a deserved title. FIA launched a review into the matter after tremendous backlash from the F1 community, the outcomes of which won’t be released until March 18.

The constant back and forth between the most dominant team of the turbo-hybrid era and the FIA doesn’t seem to be coming to an end.

Meanwhile, fans are still waiting for one solid update on the Briton’s future, with little success. The Spiderman actor Tom Holland discussed at length how he feels about Lewis Hamilton and how he has nothing but appreciation for him; with no public appearance since the last race, his future still remains uncertain.

Tom Holland rates Lewis Hamilton as an inspiration

In a recent interview, Holland mentioned how this “elitist” sport, F1, should respect the man who broke every possible glass ceiling. The discussion started when the interviewer asked Holland if there was a black Briton who Americans should learn about. The 26-year-old actor was upfront with his opinions on the same.

“Talking about history, you can talk about history being made. I mean, if you look at Lewis Hamilton and his career. I had dinner with Lewis only a few weeks ago and I think he is setting an example for so many people around the world,” said the young Brit.

He believes Lewis handled the defeat gracefully in the face of adversity. “What happened to him at the end of the last season and his ability to lose with such grace in the face of adversity in a sport that is seemingly so elitist, he is kind of broken every record and shattered every, every glass ceiling you can possibly imagine.”

Hamilton is a good company: Holland

About their dinner meeting a few weeks earlier, he also mentioned that, apart from being driver extraordinaire, Lewis is a great company as well. He made no efforts to hide how impressed he was by Hamilton’s work ethic.

“He is someone I’m very, very impressed by, and he’s every day making history. So I congratulate him and I’m so unbelievably impressed by his work ethic and his grace. He’s a great guy as well. He’s good company,” added Holland.

As it stands, Hamilton is still to offer a word on his F1 return. One thing is for sure, he cannot base his decision on the FIA reports, because of the timeline. F1 teams have started launching their 2022 car, Haas being the first one to do so. And the much-exciting 2022 F1 season is close, with a few days left before the pre-season testing.
