The Hungarian Grand Prix was one of the most interesting and chaotic races that we have had so far this season. In the opening laps of the race, carnage ensued as Valtteri Bottas rammed into the back of Lando Norris, who soon hit Max Verstappen. The McLaren driver had to retire shortly thereafter as his car took a huge hit.

Elsewhere on the track, Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari was severely damaged as Lance Stroll was avoiding the chaos on turn one. Both, Charles and Lando were heartbroken as they couldn’t bag points for their respective teams.

However, a day later they overcame their disappointment on Sunday and joined in some light-hearted banter on social media.

Norris reacts to Leclerc’s comments about the Hungarian GP

The 21-year-old took to Instagram where he quoted the Ferrari driver’s statements about the race in Budapest. Soon, Norris‘s former teammate, Carlos Sainz joined in on the fun.

The Spaniard wrote, “It’s BwOKen”. A reference to Norris’s last lap retirement at Spa back in 2019. While McLaren couldn’t agree more with the former driver.

And, soon enough Leclerc also joined in on the fun. Rather than saying anything. the Monegasque driver just used emojis to repeat what he said about the past weekend’s race.

Lando Norris didn’t like the way his race panned out

The Brit was optimistic of seeing another set of points for this Papaya team. He found himself in sixth place for the lights out at the Hungaroring. Norris got off to an amazing start, overtaking Bottas in the early go-around.

However, it soon went downhill from there. The Finn hit Norris from the back, which saw him ram into Verstappen‘s Red Bull. He got control of his car and was on his way to the pits for repairs. But the damage to his MCL35M was so severe he had to call it a day.

In frustration, he wrote on Twitter, “Well that was a great race.”

With the summer break now on. Lando will be hoping to have a better race in Spa for the Belgium Grand Prix. Last season, saw the Brit cross the line in seventh place, and would aim to bring home a similar if not a better result for the Woking-based outfit.
