If a driver has stood on the top step of the podium as many times as Lewis Hamilton has, he’s bound to have a fan following. The Mercedes man is a seven-time world champion, a title only two drivers can claim. However, it’s not just his abilities behind an F1 single-seater.

Hamilton has amassed his massive fandom through his driving abilities and his likable personality. The fans appreciate Hamilton’s down-to-earth nature and his activism. The Billion Dollar man makes an effort to give back to the community through charities. All these characteristics make him in an extremely popular figure in the world of F1 and beyond.

Proof of which is in unseen footage during an interview. While Toto Wolff is talking about Hamilton, the Mercedes man walks in and proves Wolff’s point to perfection.

As Wolff was expressing, “Interesting driver, he’s not only very fast in the car but he’s able to touch people…” Hamilton walks in invoking a loud cheer from the barrage of fans waiting outside the garage. Hilariously enough, a usually poker-faced Wolff shows an unseen side of him by mimicking the crowd’s cheer.

After teasing Hamilton, the Mercedes boss continues, “You see what he is triggering in people?”

The overwhelming response from the crowd swept a usually reserved Toto Wolff, creating this once-in-a-lifetime hilarious scenario. The perfect timing of Hamilton’s entry and the crowd’s cheer also sums up his influence.

Hamilton, in his 16-year long career, has amassed a massive fanbase with numbers being well within millions. This is the same fanbase that rallies for their world champion every opportunity they get.

Opportunities have been plenty to rally for the British World Champion, especially after the event of the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP. Hamilton’s stans, with the help of “#VoidLap58” on Twitter, communicated their demands to void the penultimate lap of the Abu Dhabi race. However, the FIA did not pay any heed.

However, the hashtag is gathering some tempo again after the events at Monza in both Formula 1 and 2. After ignoring the demands initially; the FIA contradicted themselves at the Italian GP by voiding two laps in F3 and ending the race behind the safety car in F1.

These were the two scenarios in which Lewis Hamilton would’ve been crowned champion in the 2021 season.
