It is no secret how big of a horse lover Michael Schumacher and his family are. They even bought a ranch in Texas in 2012, a place that Mick Schumacher once admitted was his favorite. The latest news coming from the family is a sad one, though. Michael’s daughter Gina recently announced the passing away of “Digger” one of Michael’s favorite horses.

Gina is a talented equestrian and “Gunners Enterprise”, affectionately called “Digger”, won her several awards. Brought into the family 11 years ago, Digger had won Gina two gold medals in the German Junior Western Riding Tournaments in 2015 and 2016. Later on, he went on to win Gina another gold at the Junior World Championships, La Repubblica reported.

The family, according to Diario de Mallorca, has purchased land in Mallorca worth £2.4 million ($2.97 million). As per the report, they plan to “raise and rise horses” on the stable spread on the 13-acre plot. A part of the report read, “Stables for the horses, that will be transferred from Switzerland, will be built on it. The intention is for Gina Maria to practice her favorite sport in Majorca, as the idea is that the family will increase their number of trips to the island, especially in winter.”
