Sebastian Vettel may be a four-time world champion, but, unfortunately, that has hardly ever been the talking point of his career. Instead, it’s the rather bitter-sweet end to his Ferrari stint that has often overshadowed his glorious feat in Formula One. Of course, one might reckon Vettel’s relationship with the Maranello outfit took the bitter route from the start of 2020, a season that witnessed his drastic fall in performance coinciding with the team’s engine struggles.

However, here’s something interesting – the crack in Ferrari and Vettel’s relationship may have emerged way earlier in 2015, thanks to several incidents that ended up ‘annoying’ the team.

He did everything he had to do with Red Bull. And people tend to forget that he won four championships in a row. With Red Bull, he probably had the right environment for him. When he came along with Ferrari, we just joined the team, virtually together at the end of 2014 and he just started – I want to be blunt – He was annoying some people by telling, ‘No, that’s not the way we did at Red Bull’,” Antonino said.

And then they say, ‘You’re not at Red Bull now, you’re at Ferrari’. He also clashed in a way with the reality of such a big company, where, as I said before, everything has to be gauged, because you always kind of worry about the consequences of what you do,” he concluded.
