Lewis Hamilton may not have won any race in 2022, but his dedication to excellence is second to none. Even when he was at the peak of his abilities and winning championships, he kept himself disciplined. His physio, the lady we see him accompanying in the paddocks and garage, told he was no party boy. However, he may still go off occasionally.

Angela Cullen left in awe of Lewis Hamilton’s self-disciplined attitude

Angela Cullen, Lewis Hamilton’s physio, does a lot more than what her designation requires her to. She carries his stuff to the paddocks, stays by his side at all times, looks after his meals, etc. Even the designation of a Personal Assistant wouldn’t do justice to all that she does for the 7-time world champion. Turns out she even played a PR role for Lewis when he was gaining some notoriety during his dominant days.

As per The Sun’s 2017 article, Angela revealed, “I have spent the whole year with him and we partied maybe four times.”

“He is not a party boy. If he has a three-week recovery between races, he might have a drink to celebrate a race win, but if there is a race meeting the next week, he won’t drink at all.”

“He occasionally does crazy things, but no more than any normal person,” she added. “He is the most amazingly talented and dedicated athlete.”

In a 2021 interview with Desus and Mero, Hamilton told the activities he engages in when the F1 season is not on. He said“I love surfing. I sky dive, love skydiving.”

The shocked hosts asked him if he was an adrenaline junkie. Lewis replied, “Yeah, you basically have to substitute it. Because the races. You’re on this massive high and when you come after the race, the next couple of days, you’re just crashing down. Then you hit a low. Then you have to pick yourself back up. You’re back into training. So I usually fill it in with things, fun activities in between training.”
