The Australian GP held the most bizarre incidents. Undoubtedly, the stewards would have been under tremendous pressure and would have invited controversy whichever way they’d decided to conclude the race. For now, the flak comes mainly from Ferrari fans and Carlos Sainz’s fans, who are getting back from Lewis Hamilton’s army, which is now rallying against the FIA. What was the incident and what was the controversy surrounding it? Let’s find out.

The fans argue that the re-order system at the third restart was an absolute mess and shouldn’t have taken place at all. While Ferrari fans argue that because the lap at the second restart was deleted, the penalty for Sainz shouldn’t stand, Lewis’s fans back their judgment as Lewis Hamilton was confused after finding Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin beside him.

Lewis Hamilton’s fans are enraged over the FIA’s call

Lewis Hamilton’s fans believe that the Briton has always been on the side of injustice when it comes to decisions made by the FIA. They are always reminded of the events from the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. But this time, throughout the whole race, the Mercedes driver looked in a comfortable position, regardless of Fernando Alonso’s position on the track. Yet the fans were quick to point out the flaw in the FIA’s system.
