Ferrari hasn’t given Charles Leclerc many reasons to be happy this year. The SF23 is the fourth-best car—or third, at best—on this grid this season, with the Maranello outfit struggling to keep up with Mercedes and Aston Martin in the fight for P2 in the championship. Owing to the car not being competitive so far, the best result the Monegasque has achieved was a third-place finish in Azerbaijan. Frustrated and dejected by Ferrari’s form this year, Charles confided in a new therapist.
Drivers are on a two-week break before the Austrian GP. Leclerc took this time to visit his new kart brand’s establishment near Monza, Italy. A special line of karts called CL Charles Leclerc, the brand is in its early stages. In a recent video posted on Twitter, Leclerc talks to one of the mechanics working on a kart. You would think they would’ve been discussing the karts, but that wasn’t the case.
Leclerc is heard laying out the problems Ferrari has this season. He said, “We are struggling with the aero package especially. We are bringing some new stuff that is going in the right direction, but Red Bull is really far ahead.”

While he was venting, the mechanic he was talking to listened intently, giving Leclerc the outlet he needed. He couldn’t stop comparing the SF23 to Red Bull’s RB19, mentioning how much of an advantage Red Bull has in terms of race pace and tire management.
There’s no doubt Red Bull is the benchmark for every team. Ferrari and its competitors have taken a step to close the gap with Red Bull, but there’s still a long way to go. Everyone knows that, and so do Leclerc’s fans. And while he was venting, fans on Twitter sympathized with his frustration with Ferrari’s performance.
Fans think Charles Leclerc needs more venting sessions
There’s no way for Charles to hide his frustration anymore. From having a car that was back at the front of the field last season—at least for a while—to a car that can’t compete for podiums consistently this year, it’s been rough for the Ferrari drivers. People have often joked that the Ferrari drivers need therapy for how the car performs now compared to its race-winning days. And Leclerc has found a therapist in one of his karting brand’s mechanics.
While reacting to the video of them on Twitter, fans expressed how they feel it’s good for him to vent his frustrations and find an outlet to “share his pain.”
He just needs to vent sometimes..its healthy yknow🥲🥲🥲

His fans believe staying in Ferrari has made him too stressed with the team’s unpredictable performances, and because of that, he needs more sessions with his “therapist.”
He needs venting sessions often. This man is stressed 😩 https://t.co/5eVHNFiaj2

Some also believe Ferrari should pay him more so that he can invest in an actual therapist and sort through his frustrations.
.@ScuderiaFerrari PAY HIM DOUBLE HIS SALARY SO HE CAN GET A DAILY THERAPIST, DON'T BE A CHEAPSKATE!!! https://t.co/rWfHa2zpKt

One fan pointed out how he mentioned Ferrari is struggling with its aero package. They went on to write that they hate Enrico Cardile—the Head of Ferrari’s Chassis Area, who also works closely with the aero team—for making Leclerc feel the way he does.
“We are struggling with aero package but… things starting to go in the right direction…”
Pd: I hate Cardile !!!!!!!!!!!!! https://t.co/eVYb3TFtrj

But one fan poked fun by writing that the mechanic just asked Leclerc for the time, and he ended up giving him an entire rundown of everything wrong with Ferrari.
you know what’s crazy is that the guy only asked him what time it was https://t.co/2RvMQfQL5q
