Apart from his Mercedes car, Lewis Hamilton has shared a pretty special relationship with his dog, Roscoe and Coco. The latter sadly passed away, but Roscoe is still healthy and happy, often accompanying the 7-time champion in the paddock. He’s a regular favorite amongst the Mercedes faithful, and George Russell shared a funny incident involving Roscoe ahead of the Abu Dhabi GP.

Roscoe Hamilton is Hamilton’s pet bulldog who reportedly earns around $700 per day from modeling. Furthermore, he also boasts a huge social media following of 687k followers on Instagram. Hamilton shared that he switched Roscoe’s diet to vegan as well, just like himself. He mentioned how drastically it has helped his health.

Roscoe is a fan-favorite in the Mercedes garage. And with a few visits already in 2022, it seems like Hamilton’s new teammate George Russell has got his seal of approval. Russell shared an instance during the Mercedes fan event in Abu Dhabi when Roscoe and Lewis attacked George. He said“It was in Austria this year, Lewis and I were standing in the motorhome next to each other.”

He continued, “And I thought, it was in the morning, the sun was shining, I’m going to go out there, relax, do some stretching, do some exercise. The next thing I know, Roscoe just comes over and jumps on me and starts licking me everywhere.” 

Lewis also added, “He did a poo right in front of you. But I think you missed it.”

But all in all, it seems that Roscoe gave his seal of approval to Russell.

Coming to the subject of racing, Hamilton and Russell will look to maintain their great form in the recent races. Mercedes won their first race of the season in Interlagos last time out.

Lewis and Roscoe’s apparent attack on Russell melted fans’ hearts as they swooned on the trio. Roscoe enjoyed a good relationship with Hamilton’s previous teammate Valtteri Bottas, and it feels like George has received Roscoe’s admiration as well. F1 fans reacted on Twitter to the incident shared by the former Williams driver.

Fans could not believe Roscoe went to lick George’s face in the morning.

Moreover, some fans suggested that Russell received the ultimate seal of approval from Hamilton’s pet.

Some fans also joked and questioned about where Russell was sleeping for Roscoe to attack him in that manner.

Roscoe would be hoping that his father, Lewis, wins the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi. However, it will be a daunting task for the Mercedes pair to beat Ferrari and Red Bull in Sunday’s race from P5 and P6. Can Mercedes make it two wins in a row and end the season on a high?
