It was a new beginning for me, with many question marks: Carlos Sainz

As reported by motorlat.com, Sainz analyzed his performances in the first 11 races with the Italian team. He compared his performances to his teammate Leclerc and gave an accurate and realistic assessment of his season so far.

“It was a new beginning for me, with many question marks. I knew I was facing one of the fastest drivers or the fastest, and the goal of every driver is to be the best on the grid, not just beat your teammate,” said Sainz.

I came to a car that Charles knows quite well, with a team in which he is well integrated, all that makes you wonder how you will fit in. But now I can say that after half a year here, I am happy with the way I have dealt with everything. The speed was there from the beginning,” he commented on his experience with Ferrari.

I also have to admit that I still have to work hard to get everything right for a whole weekend regularly. I have the feeling that I am not piloting in a constant way as in 2019 and 2020, there are still some points that I need to improve,” said Sainz.

Sainz is currently three points ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc and sitting on P6 on the drivers’ standings.
