Every dog has its day, is the saying right? It looks like the day for Leo has come with him being a celebrity among the high-profile attendees within the paddocks. It was obvious that everyone would fall in love with him. I mean, have you seen him? Charles Leclerc brought home the most adorable little Four-legged friend and his newest family member is getting love from millions of fans across the world.

Before Leo was the most popular canine companion to an F1 racer, the iconic duo of Lewis Hamilton and Roscoe were the charmers. The two have been together since 2013, and Roscoe has become a household name in the F1 community. But now that there is a new dog on the block, what does this mean for Roscoe? Let’s paws and reflect on who is the most popular of them all.

Leo Leclerc Mleux has been welcomed into the Ferrari family as his dad is the star driver for the manufacturer. Ferrari means fancy, and such is the lifestyle of the young mutt. Leclerc has been giving him the grand treatment from paddock passes to yacht rides in Monaco. Every time Leo’s pictures or videos surface online, the internet sets ablaze with millions of fans admiring just how adorable the baby Pooch is.

Leo is quite young and seeing him running around with his little paws is something to die for. In a world of being a cat person or a dog person, there is no need to choose in this case because everyone is a Leo person. So when he made his way to the paddocks at the Miami GP for the first time, it was all eyes on him.

Leclerc’s girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux was in charge of the adopted puppy while the Ferrari driver was racing and, to make Leo proud, the Monegasque claimed a podium finish. But even coming P3 was not enough to take the attention away from Leo at the Ferrari paddock. Charles Leclerc also mentioned that “Leo is getting more support” than he was at Miami and that’s a small price to pay.

Leo’s oopsie at the paddocks

When Leo was having his walk around the paddocks, he had a nature call, and because he was still so young; he had not been potty trained yet. Charles Leclerc noticed what his baby did and started asking for a paper. However, while the Ferrari driver was waiting for a piece of paper, a teammate, Pedro arrived with two plastic cups and scooped the poop up.

A video of the incident was posted online with the caption, “Ferrari teamwork, even when it comes to Leo’s number 2!” The way Pedro swept in to save the day only proves how much Leo already means to the whole team and many more beyond that.

This used to be the position of Roscoe, being the dog that has everyone’s attention, and while he was not present at the track, the bulldog has become an icon in F1.

The Lewis Hamilton and Roscoe Story

“One of the best decisions I ever took in my life,” says Lewis Hamilton when it comes to bringing home Roscoe back in 2013. This was broken down in a Q&A round on Mercedes‘ Youtube channel, as the 7-time world champion shared the story of how Roscoe joined his family.

In the interview, Hamilton was asked about how he adopted Roscoe, and he replied, “I remember being online, looking online for rescues. There’s some page I found that had like 1,000 bulldogs and I just went through all of them and then I came across this one picture and I was like – ‘That’s him!’”

The next question that came up was about how the name Roscoe came to be, and Hamilton replied, “I don’t know I just thought it was a cool name.” Roscoe is a regular at the paddocks and by now he is F1 royalty if you may.

He has seen over a decade of Formula 1 and the community has seen him. He still manages to win hearts every day on his own Instagram page. Roscoe has over a million followers and fans love keeping up with him, as the bulldog lives one exciting life with Lewis Hamilton.

Leo is young and fans are enjoying his new presence in F1, but Roscoe has a history with the sport and has dedicated fans. Maybe Leo will continue being the Ferrari puppy and winning hearts, but right now, each doggo has the right amount of love from the F1 community.
