On the 4th of July, 1776, the United States of America ratified its Declaration of Independence. And ever since, the date has been commemorated as one of the heartiest days in the US celebrating the never-say-never attitude that has defined the great nation. This year, however, the US has another hero to celebrate alongside in the shape of Formula 1 rookie, Logan Sargeant. But while the 22-year-old has had a rough ride so far, he logged into his social media today to embody his nation’s spirit.

The Williams driver has been strapped into a tricky car in his very first year in this sport. This coupled with the fact that he’s been paired alongside talisman Alex Albon has only made matters more difficult. Irrespective, Sargeant has a long way to go in this sport, and a testament to this is his 4th of July post today!

Logan Sargeant embodies the spirit of America

The founding fathers of America had a vision. And from the looks of it, it was tailor-made for folks like Logan Sargeant. Even though he’s been struggling to register decent results on track, the Floridian hasn’t given up just yet.

He took to his Instagram account today to wish all of his American brethren a happy 4th of July. He captioned his story, “Happy 4th of July. Back to Silverstone this weekend and couldn’t be more ready for it.”

And it isn’t only his American fanbase that young Logan Sargeant cares about.

Sargeant invests in multi-million dollar F1 fan-experience venture

The stock of Formula 1 has been rising rapidly in the past few years. Naturally, with the added interest of millions across the globe, the sport is looking to cater to all of its demographics. One such attempt is known as the ‘F1 Arcade’. This will allow consumers to compete on realistic F1 simulators. After London and Birmingham, the Arcade now travels to Sargeant’s home-country thanks to his involvement.

Forbes reported, “Just weeks after the announcement that the F1 Arcade is coming to Boston next year, the group managing the project announced a nearly $38 million investment in the program. Among the new investors who are confirmed include McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, McLaren’s Lando Norris and Williams Racing’s Logan Sargeant.”

“Liberty Media, which owns Formula 1, is also an investor in the F1 Arcade.”
