Many would expect that the team leader at Mercedes is Lewis Hamilton. The Brit has picked up six world titles with the team and helped them become seven-time constructors’ championship winners, so it would right to assume that the 36-year-old is the top dog at the team.
However, Hamilton passes the title of team leader to Toto Wolff, the Team Principal of Mercedes. And while the Briton does admit that he is responsible for bringing in the results, he knows he can be difficult to work with as he questions everything.
Lewis Hamilton sees Wolff as the one to lead the team through tough times

Speaking to BBC ahead of the British Grand Prix, Hamilton’s home race, he was asked how he leads the team. He replied, “Toto is our leader. Of course, I have the responsibility and the team to help the civil leaders that we have to come out with the best outcome.
“I don’t have the answers for everything, but I am challenging absolutely everything and being a complete nuisance. And you know, as I said I ask a lot of questions, and I challenge everything, even if, simulation say this, I’m like, ‘what about this?’
“So you know I always got questions for something, and I guess that’s my role here. But you know we have come a long way together on this amazing journey as a team, and I love being here, I love working with these people and the determination that I see around me is inspiring. So that’s why we continue for another couple of years,” Hamilton concluded.

Can the Knight find success at the sprint race?

The seven-time world champion got pole in yesterday’s qualifying session, beating arch-rival, Max Verstappen. Hence, the Mercedes driver will start from the front in today’s inaugural sprint race.
Furthermore, with fans back in the stands, the Brit will be even more motivated to put on a stellar show at him home race in Silverstone and secure the three points that are up for grabs in this session.
