With news of George Russell going to Mercedes being confirmed, Williams brought in Alex Albon to fill in the vacant seat for the 2022 season. McLaren’s Lando Norris took this opportunity to remind the world of F1 that their gang will be back next year.
However, it didn’t end there as Lewis Hamilton replied with a cheeky comment reminding the trio of their similarities to a famous all British band.
Lewis Hamilton replies to Norris’s post of Albon’s F1 return

At the end of last year, Albon was released by Red Bull to make way for Sergio Perez. However, with Russell going to Mercedes, Albon signed for the Grove-based outfit for next season. Hence, Norris saw this as a chance to remind the grid their group is back. But, not before Lewis had a hysterical reply, giving a nod to One Direction.
Norris wrote on Instagram, “We’re back.”

The F1 community was thrilled to see Albon back on the grid for next year, But what things even more fun for the fans was Hamilton’s reply. The 7-times world champion wrote, “The New One Direction (laughing emoji).”

Hamilton had also congratulated Albon on his return
At the end of last year, Albon was released by his team to make way for Perez. In 2021, the Thai driver was without a seat, but now as a chance at redemption as Williams signed him up for the upcoming season.

Hamilton took out the time to congratulate Albon. He said, “Congrats Alex, welcome back”
The two will face each other off next season, with Hamilton behind the wheel of a Mercedes, while Alex in a Williams. Both will push each other hard, but more importantly, try to get a good result for their respective teams.
