More trouble awaits Haas as they face a technical problem ahead of the second round of testing. F1 is to take to Bahrain for their yearly pre-season testing. Haas, however, feels they can’t make it on time.

The American team has been facing a series of problems since the start of 2022. The team lost its title sponsor Uralkali due to the Russian-Ukraine conflict. Moreover, Haas also had to part ways with their Russian driver, Nikita Mazepin. On top of that, they’ve faced technical difficulties during testing in Barcelona a few weeks back.

Now a fresh new problem arose for the Kannapolis-based team. The Cargo plane that’s set to take Haas cars to Bahrain test is stuck in Turkey. One of the five transport vehicles that F1 uses was bound for the UK, is still stuck in Istanbul Airport. With two cars and spare parts stuck at Doncaster Airport, the US team is now looking for alternative solutions.

Talking about this, Guenther Steiner has conveyed, “We might be able to write off the first day of testing. All other teams have a two-day lead in preparation. That’s why we’re curious to see how our solutions will prove themselves.”

Haas has started the 2022 season on a roll. The team had started the development of their 2022 challenger in the 2021 season itself. The Kannapolis-based team also expressed that they stopped the development of their VF-21 last year in order to start early this season. As said, Haas also launched their Challenger long before the rest of the field.

With things said and done, the 2022 start hasn’t been one they’ve hoped for. With a driver to be set in place of Nikita Mazepin, Haas has a mountain to climb.
