The Haas F1 is back in the news, but this time for positive developments. The team managed to score their first points of the season in Bahrain Grand Prix and ended their drought. But before the race even began, team principal Guenther Steiner and Mick Schumacher attended a photoshoot for a sponsor.

They were seen posing alongside things made from furniture sure as a ship since the sponsor is a furniture-based company called Aldi. Social media made many memes involving Steiner and the pictures and went viral.

The Haas team boss was asked about the viral memes and the photoshoot on Sky Sports show Any Driven Monday.

The Haas team principal mentioned that he was not aware that they were memes going around of the photoshoot. He also mentioned that he does not even recall the event and has no memory of the photoshoot.

I don’t know. I don’t know how I agreed to this. It must have happened at some point. And now it’s everywhere! I did not envisage that this will take so much interest in that. It was actually a fun day out there with these guys.

They are good people and they just said ‘ He, let’s have these pictures’ and we did them. They did their job as a lot of people look at them,” said Steiner.

When asked if he got any furniture from the sponsor after their deal. ” I don’t know, but when you say that, a lot of people saw them. Maybe I should go back to the sponsor and ask if we can get something in return,” said the Haas team principal.

It is all happy news surrounding the American team. It looks like their decision to not develop the 2021 car for the 2022 season has paid off. But since they are a small team, there is a possibility that the bigger outfits may catch them and eventually surpass them before the end of the season.

So the team needs to capitalize on every given opportunity in the early part of the season to get enough points as possible.
