With FP3 being called off due to horrid conditions in Sochi, F1 teams decided to use the power of social media to entertain fans from all across the world. This time it was Alfa Romeo who kicked things off on Twitter, with Haas jumping in on the action.
The banter between the two teams revolved around one of the most beloved drivers in Formula One, Kimi Raikkonen.

Teams and drivers are finding ways to pass the time as FP3 was canceled. They have to wait for some more time before they get back to work and get the best result in the high-intensity qualifying session later in the afternoon.
While they wait for the qualifying session, Alfa Romeo tweeted a picture involving a kayak, a coffee machine, ice cream, and a floating flamingo – all the Kimi essentials to pass the time.

Haas was quite curious to know about their ice cream stock, and asked, “Have you got the ice cream freezer stocked for Kimi?”
To which Raikkonen’s team replied, “fancy one?”

Aston Martin wants a rematch with Haas
The last time F1 saw such similar conditions was as at the Spa for the Belgian Grand Prix. With no sign of rain stopping, Sebastian Vettel went to the Haas garage to play a game of football with Mick Schumacher.

Now in Sochi with FP3 being called off, the Silverstone-based team requested the American-owned team for a rematch. In a matter of minutes, the team had a response that the F1 community had been waiting for: “Your garage or ours?”

With time before the qualifying session starts, we wouldn’t be surprised to see football content between Schumacher Jr and his mentor Vettel making the rounds on social media.
