For probably the very first time in his illustrious F1 career, 7x champ Lewis Hamilton finds himself between a rock and a hard place. While Mercedes‘ W14 isn’t the fastest car around, the Brit has another hurdle to conquer in the form of his Silver Arrows contract. Reports suggest that the German automobile giants feel as though the Brit has overvalued himself and has pulled him back down to reality.
But to add the most stinging insult to injury, his close confidante and boss, Toto Wolff dug into him publicly during the 2023 Austrian GP. Hamilton came onto the radio comms repeatedly to complain about his struggles. And at one point of time, Wolff rebuked him on the airwaves saying, “Lewis, the car is bad, we know. Please drive it!” With so much happening to and around the Brit, does he have any respite?

Finally reunited with his beloved pet, the 7x champion took to his Instagram account to share how elated he was to be with Roscoe again. He took to his stories and posted a picture of Roscoe chilling with his Dad, Hamilton! He captioned it, “Guess who’s back in town @roscoelovescoco.”
That being said, with time running out, can Hamilton and Mercedes salvage their relationship?

Despite suggesting on June 12 that Lewis Hamilton’s next contract would be signed in “days rather than weeks” Toto Wolff confirmed that there will be no news of an extension at Silverstone this weekend.

Express UK quoted the Austrian as saying, “I am still confident that everything will work out. We just want to make everything clear to the smallest detail. It is not a discussion about money or duration anymore. It’s about the future and ensuring that everything is optimized. We are talking about other details.”
