Christian Horner and Co. along with many other teams have asked F1 to increase Andretti and other new teams’ joining fees from $200 million to $600 million to account for the recent boom in F1’s value and the teams’ value. As the saga for the new teams to join F1 continues, Andretti is left hanging in the balance. The American giants were expecting a decision from F1 by the end of last year. Haas started their journey in F1 in the 2016 season. However, the American constructor has failed to make a mark in F1 with only 1 pole position to show off for its achievement. Haas’ F1 performance was questioned as during a recent podcast it was suggested that Haas’ is the same team that it was 5 years ago and is facing the same problems from half a decade ago. Amid this, Guenther Steiner’s role at Haas was questioned.
According to the VF1 show with VF and Vincenzo podcast, the host said “We all love Guenther Steiner, he’s a legend but at the end of the day I mean if it wasn’t for his celebrity, for his personality, for who he is, would he be there? It’s all about Marketability. His marketability is a huge fame for Haas, for their value. So you get rid of Guenther and I don’t think anybody would be interested in Haas at all. I mean what are they doing?”
Guenther Steiner and Haas really need to pull up their socks. While Nico Hulkenberg’s performances have impressed, the race pace of the Haas has been shambolic. Regardless, it is believed that F1 will soon announce the future for the new F1 entrants as Andretti plans to push its plans for F1.

Stefano Domenicali recently advised that by early September, the new entrants will get the decision from F1. Andretti who was planning to enter F1 as early as next year has now shifted their plans to 2025 as F1 has delayed its decision about the new teams. Mario Andretti suggests that the 2025 decision definitely makes sense.
According to formulapassion.it, Mario Andretti said, “We’re waiting right now, but we should know something soon. There is no specific timing, but we were told at the beginning of September. Getting into Formula 1 in 2025 would be not only beneficial, but also a key factor. It’s something that has been strongly proposed and I think it makes sense. At first we were aiming for 2024. However, as the procedure dragged on it became clear that 2025 was more feasible.” [Translated Via Google]
