The YouTube channel WTF1, covered issues from the Italian Grand Prix in particular. The Monza circuit is one of the iconic tracks which holds a ‘must visit someday’ spot for most F1 fans.
Disappointingly, there were no screens put up and everyone was clueless about what was taking place on the track. F1 would have never thought that the popularity of drivers like Max Verstappen and even the sport as a whole would end up creating such problems.
One fan said, “People had made makeshift platforms out of wood and benches at the front of the fencing to improve their view, but meant that no one behind the first row had any hope.”
The Fan zone didn’t include any proper commentary and no sound either. The event was overcrowded with long queues to get to the track. Meanwhile, one viewing area was located behind the grand stand which added to the confusion as there was absolutely no view from that spot. Mismanagement and bad planning left the fans downright upset.
Here are some twitter feeds sharing their experience from the Monza race.
F1 Fans Disappointed
F1 fans were quick to take to twitter to state their disbelief with the poor state of management.
This was my view for the entire GP pic.twitter.com/XJKhKDNuT7

Monza was the worst. People were foraging the woods for logs to perch up for a view. Plus they made everyone buy tokens to order food and drink. So queue twice for one drink. Madness. One little boy fainted just as his dad reached the front of the token queue. Appalling. pic.twitter.com/nwxA9eMxrk

the video sums it up very well.— Niriuqq 🧡 (@Niriuqq) September 15, 2022
Just coming back from Monza now and it was an absolute shambles, for a first GP experience it was chaotic for the most part. Half the signs were wrong, waiting in a line for an hour and a half to actually get into the park. This might keep going…

Same in Baku, didn’t have any issues, queues were manageable and they even gave out some quantities of bottled water for free after sessions!

Attended for around $860 and some change. Beach grandstands. Never delt with crazy fans and my seat was there waiting no issue. Say it was worth it seeing this video and others of people just sitting on a wet grass hill in other places
