The Las Vegas GP announcement has made everyone happy. Surprisingly, the news seems to be making such noise that non-F1 fans might be aware of this fact too. After the unexciting 1981 and 1982 parking lot races, this is Nevada’s second chance in years to make a comeback. As circuits rotating in the F1 calendar is a common thing, fans and authorities would want Vegas to become a permanent F1 settling ground.

The governor of the town, Steve Sisolak, has had some predictions to share about the event. Enthusiastically speaking about the gallant money the town will make, he said, “The direct economic impact is approaching half a billion dollars, and the indirect impact will be over a billion dollars by the time we’re done. We could not be more proud of this.” Big claims? Maybe. Maybe not.

Las Vegas GP will be on a street circuit

Sisolak also spoke about the impact the race will make on the fans and community. He was also positive about how this would be a “flagship” race for the Formula One authorities themselves. While the states already organized a race in Austin, they also have the Miami GP to look forward to this year. However, the announcement of the Vegas GP which joins its sister circuits in 2023 is quite possibly bigger.
