“It’s coming home! It’s coming home!” is probably something that must be going through every Mercedes fan’s mind after a disastrous season last year. And this emotion has been running high since the team unveiled its beauty in black, the W14, which will be Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s ride. The fans loved the first glimpses of the car running on the track and just couldn’t get enough of it.
However, the team has provided the fans with yet another dose of dopamine by sharing a picture from one of Lewis Hamilton’s sessions on the simulator, as everyone in the camp prepares for the pre-season testing in Bahrain. The picture contains a message that wasn’t possible to say last year, but its presence now has triggered a wave of hope.

And the message is, “It’s hammer time,” something that the other drivers and teams arguably fear. The fans are going crazy as the whole message from Bono to Lewis read: “it’s hammer time Lewis. Let’s f go!” reminding the fans of what the team is capable of. This instilled fresh confidence in everyone who read it. Anything better than this could only come from hearing Bono say the words in the video. Nonetheless, after a difficult season, especially for Lewis among the driver pair, a good simulator session provides renewed hope that the team is on the right track with the car.
Fans loved the message to Lewis Hamilton
The message made the fans nostalgic, and the fans could sense positivity as well as Lewis smiling because they knew what the hammer time signified. In the current context, it also shows faith, trust, and chemistry that just felt missing in the squad last year.
Actually got goosebumps reading that

Last year, Lewis Hamilton had to deal with a setback from the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which many fans believe he couldn’t handle for the entire year. But now he’s ready to actually be on track and present a challenge that he has done and won over the years.

Lewis Hamilton now appears to be ready to have a blast on the track and have a shot at his record-eighth title. And while the challenge from George Russell itself won’t be easy to deal with, ultimately and realistically, only Max Verstappen and a couple more drivers might be the ones standing between Lewis and the championship.
