Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have formed a formidable partnership in the two seasons together. The Mexican has been monumental in the team’s success, as much as Verstappen. However, there are times when the 32-year-old and more experienced driver has to take lessons from his younger teammate.

The lessons might not necessarily be about racing or in relation to Formula 1. Sometimes these lessons are just about life in general. Now one can wonder what life lessons can a seven year younger Max Verstappen can give to Sergio Perez. Well, just like their cars, the drivers need to stay updated too.

Some of these life lessons are only limited to a certain generation and Perez and Verstappen are born into different ones. So the Gen-Z Verstappen taught millennial Perez some slang.

Verstappen began explaining, “Spill the tea is like a…” But Perez interrupted and said, “steam up?”

The Dutchman continued, “No, explain what’s up, you know, like, what’s going on.”

He then hilariously put the term in a sentence to explain and said, “come on man, spill the tea.”

This approach seemed to work as Perez understood and said, “so like gossip,” and followed that with, “you do that well,” directed toward Verstappen.

The hilarious exchange between the Red Bull men ended up with laughter all around. The two can definitely focus on more such activities with the current championship season wrapped up on both fronts. It would be safe to say that Red Bull won this year’s championships with outright dominance.

Most will argue that Red Bull’s 2022 challenger, the RB18, is an engineering genius. However, Perez believes it was the man more than the machine, responsible for the dominance in the current campaign.

“I’ve said it before: I don’t feel like Red Bull have had a dominant car, to have won the championship the way Max won it, so I think he definitely pulled a gear or two compared to anyone else,” claimed Perez after the Japanese GP.
