Lewis Hamilton has never settled for just being an ace F1 driver. Away from the roaring engines of the pinnacle of motorsport, the Briton often engages himself in adventure activities. From skydiving to surfing, Lewis is a fan of it all. However, there are some relatively relaxed activities as well that he does not mind trying his hand at from time to time. One of those is taking to the golf course and testing his swing. He may be an investor in Tiger Woods‘ passion project TMRW Sports, but that hasn’t done any favors to his teeing-off skills. The F1 sensation found out the hard way as he tried to show off his skills from his latest outing.

Lewis recently went out for a golf outing with his Uncle Terry and a fellow F1 grid mate who also happens to be a golf enthusiast, Lando Norris. The 7x champion posted pictures from their boys’ day out. The last photo showed Lewis practicing his putting skills as the sun went down.

In the Instagram post, Lewis also put out a video of him teeing off. According to Lando, Lewis played really well, and he actually found his swing pretty good. However, golf fans were far from impressed with some even suggesting he just stick to F1.

One fan used the occasion to take a dig at his current bad run in F1.

Another fan had a pretty rare insult for Lewis’ swinging technique.

Some did not find it surprising to see that he did not have a perfect swing. After all, this is not what he does on a regular basis.

Some were pretty chill in their criticism.

Others, not so much.

With how things are going on the track, both Lewis and Lando needed a break to get their mind off F1. A nice day on the golf course was perhaps a way to unwind but surely the senior Briton would not have expected so many jokes about his golf club-wielding skills.
