The love between the young F1 star Lando Norris and golf is known to all. And this time, the love was reciprocated as well. At the Orange County National in Orlando, history was made during LIV Golf as Torque GC, comprising Joaquin Niemann, David Puig, Sebastian Munoz, and Mito Pereira, claimed their first team title and won the pool prize of $3 million. However, this wasn’t the sole highlight of the victory for the team led by Joaquin Niemann.

Another highlight of the win was the celebration. As they sprayed the champagne across the podium in Orlando, we saw a great crossover between the two sports that we love. The captain of the team shared an iconic video on his Instagram where he copies the Lando Norris trademark celebration! The Chilean golfer, much like Lando, jumped down from the podium and slammed the bottle on the ground for a great spray!

This could well prove to be the start of a budding bromance between the two athletes, who previously played together in 2022. The fans loved their crossover and have been waiting for more glimpses between the two.

Lando Norris plays golf at every given opportunity

Lando is a man of many talents. Be it DJing, streaming, or golfing, the Briton likes to do everything. But lately, golf seems to have emerged as a personal favorite for him. He gets going with it whenever he gets a chance. The driver, after touching down in Melbourne for the Australian GP, played a few rounds with his former teammate, Carlos Sainz. Before that, he and Lewis Hamilton played together. However, this seems very casual, as the McLaren star has also played in pro-am events for over a year or so, probably making him the best golfer in the paddock.

Norris has spoken about his obsession with golf. Golf Digest quoted him saying, “I’m fully addicted. Like I can’t describe how addicted I am to golf. I watch it every weekend. I’m looking at the scores. I’m watching the live streams. The golf bug has really bit me hard, but it’s really enjoyable.”
