The 2023 season is on the horizon, and Ferrari fans are all charged up with optimism as the team looks ready under Fred Vasseur’s leadership. They have already sent a message across the grid during their presentation as golden boy Charles Leclerc drove their car around the track. However, a worry has started to loom over the Tifosi: Leclerc’s contract renewal, which is still two years away.
It had come up following the rumors that Mercedes might be on a hunt soon, seeking Lewis Hamilton’s long-term competent replacement and have the Monegasque on top of its list. But Leclerc, being the one chosen by the Ferrari gods and being the loyal driver that he is, has put the fans at ease with his most recent satisfying and calming statements.
Despite all the challenging experiences that he has faced so far at Maranello, he wants to win it all with the prancing horse. As quoted by Quotidiano Nazionale, Leclerc said, “I know you are worried that I could go to Mercedes, but honestly there are no negotiations. I am fine in Ferrari. I feel the enthusiasm. I’m thrilled by the idea of crowning the dream, mine and everyone’s, of winning with the Red car.”

As quoted by the Express, he said, “It’s important for Carlos and I to be fully motivated and do the best possible job at the start of the season and we have to push each other to perform at our best, and at one point in the season, if one driver is clearly in contention to win the championship, I’m sure the team will do everything possible to ensure that the driver fighting for the title does so in the best possible conditions.”
