Formula One action will resume after a two-week hiatus at Singapore Grand Prix. The weather points towards rain on all three days. While the fans are getting restless, waiting in anticipation, the weather prediction has invited some weird result predictions.

During the time of writing this article, weather.com predicted Friday to have a 48% chance of rain with 88 degrees of maximum temperature. Saturday is predicted to stay stable at a maximum temperature from the previous day. The chance of rain is, however, predicted to be 59%. The race day is predicted to have the temperature settle at a maximum of 86 degrees, with a 69% chance of rain.

The rain prediction brought in some crazy fan theories. Some fans believe that the rain will make no difference and Verstappen will win. Others just let their imagination fly with some predicting a win for Williams’ driver Nicholas Latifi.

If one is to go by the history of rains in Formula One, there is no point in making predictions, as they all go for a toss.

Formula One fans on Twitter let their imaginations run amok on the Singapore Grand Prix weekend weather forecast thread. The forecast predicted rain throughout the weekend. And we know what rain brings to the table. Unexpected results.

There were some who predicted the Canadian driver, Nicholas Latifi, to win the race.

Verstappen fans, as always, were also a part of the debate. And why won’t they be? Max could win the championship in Singapore if certain other results go his way.

Some fans, probably Singapore locals, warned against relying too much on weather prediction apps.

There were some who found nothing peculiar about rain predictions in Singapore, as it is a common occurrence there. They pointed toward Singapore’s tropical climate to be the reason for it.

One fan had a rather peculiar prediction, but one which wasn’t something we hadn’t seen in rainy races before.

With Verstappen winning the last 5 back-to-back Grand Prix, things have become quite predictable. He could well take the title home from Marina Bay if he wins, and some other results go his way.

Rain could certainly make things interesting. That being said, we would like to see a full race without any stoppages. Fans will certainly sit with their fingers crossed with this one, and so will the teams. Can’t wait for the action to begin.
