Nicholas Latifi has qualified for Q3! The Canadian has shocked every Formula 1 fan with an unlikely result that sees him start from the top 10 at tomorrow’s race. Latifi has out-qualified his teammate for the first time this season as Albon was knocked out of Q1.

Just last year, we saw the Williams of George Russell finish P8 in the qualifying in the same venue. And it seems like Latifi has carried this tradition. This result could be a massive boost for the 26-year-old as he’s struggled to compete for the points position throughout this season.

This result is even fruitful for Latifi, as Alex Albon’s car was upgraded ahead of the British GP. With a new floor in place for the Thai driver, Williams took a similar route to that of Red Bull. However, Albon struggled with grips during Q1 and ultimately finished behind his teammate in P16.

On to Q2, the conditions got worse as rain started pouring. The drivers struggled for grip, but Latifi was able to confidently to put his Williams in P10.

The Canadian, however, has been under immense pressure and rumors surrounding his future took center stage. He has not finished above P14 this year, but this will certainly help his confidence.

His form has been a talking point and rumors suggested that Oscar Piastri is set to take his seat next year. The fans, however, could not believe his performance this evening.
