Lando Norris, the part-time Formula 1 driver, is a full-time streamer. Over the years, though, he’s found hobbies one after another apart from F1, and more often than not, he’s as talented at them as he is at F1. His interest in music has been one hobby that’s stuck, though. From taking drumming lessons from One Direction’s live drummer, Josh Devine, to recording that (we all remember it) awkward song with Daniel Ricciardo when the Aussie joined McLaren in 2021, music became a passion. So did DJing. But it seems like he’s left that behind, too, to pursue another musical hobby.
MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi was the one who got Norris interested in racing. If you’re wondering who got him interested in DJing, it’s only one of the most famous DJs in the world—Martin Garrix. After learning the trick of the trade from him and other DJs like Zedd and Kygo, it was confirmed he’d relinquished his drumset for turntables, so much so that he even DJed a party after the 2022 Singapore GP. Considering that he was pretty good at it, you would’ve thought he’d stick with it. But a recent video on Twitter proved otherwise.

In the video that’s captioned, “We moved on way too quick [from DJing],” he’s seen playing the piano at Kygo’s recent concert in Ibiza. The text on the video reads, “The cat is out of the bag… @landonorris is @kygomusic’s ghost piano player.” From the video, it seems like he’s left DJing behind for good, but considering Kygo is a DJ himself, Norris is seemingly still in touch with the hobby.

After having distanced himself from DJing over the past few months, it seemed as though he’d never get back to it. Although his playing the piano at Kygo’s concert might have only made everyone believe the same, his itinerary last week made fans believe in the return of DJ Lando again.

Norris shared a picture of the trio on his Twitter and Instagram feeds, and fans couldn’t help but speculate about the return of DJ Lando—the same one who DJed at a Red Bull party last year with Zedd and after the Singapore GP. People seem to really enjoy what he can do behind the turntables. So even though he seemed to have taken a sabbatical from his DJ life, the summer break has proved that he can’t stay away even if he wanted to.
