The F1 livery releases have been going on for the past two weeks, and during this period various tidbits of team-related information have surfaced. The team’s drivers, however, are also participating in this, not only by engaging in car premieres with the team but also by displaying their new F1 gear. Sergio Perez of Red Bull, Yuki Tsunoda of AlphaTauri, and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin were among the drivers recently spotted unveiling their helmets for the 2023 season. Although Esteban Ocon‘s helmet was the one that arguably got the most attention. The equipment definitely has a villainous feel to it, and many fans have said it is the greatest helmet reveal they have seen thus far.
We’ve seen drivers experimenting with their helmets over the past few years. Helmets can be used to display sponsors, and even make political statements, as Lewis Hamilton did with his rainbow lid. Now, Esteban Ocon has made headlines with his interesting helmet design. Everyone witnessed the French driver’s gear in the US GP last year. A helmet with a spider-man pattern was donned by a 26-year-old when he arrived at COTA.

But his new helmet seems to tell a whole different story.
Today, the Alpine driver posted something that had his followers in a frenzy. Ocon uploaded a post on Twitter with the following caption, “Dark mode enabled. New helmet for 2023. Let’s go part 2 coming soon.”
Social media users are fawning over Esteban Ocon’s new helmet design
The post sent the fans into a frenzy since the new helmet has a darker design with a red pattern. The Frenchman has placed the letters “EO” and the number 31 for his race identification on the upper part.

Ocon has used his helmet in very inventive ways. He even swapped helmets with Mick Schumacher last year following the US GP. Furthermore, he introduced this year’s spectacular helmet design, which indisputably signals the beginning of his villainous phase.

I cannot wait to see how it shines on darker parts of circuits (i.e. the Monaco tunnel). Amazing design Esteban!!! 🤩

Enstone’s team endured a lot of turmoil in the previous year, starting with the contentious Oscar Piastri case and with the departure of its star driver Fernando Alonso. Nevertheless, now that the team has two of the finest French drivers, it will be fascinating to watch where Alpine will end this season after finishing in the fourth position last time around.
