Lewis Hamilton, apart from the obvious, is famous for his animal rights activism. The 7-time world champion did not just switch to a plant-based diet, but also promotes it. Therefore, it didn’t come as a surprise when he lauded former supermodel Gisele Bundchen when she rescued a sea turtle.

Bundchen posted a video last year where she untangled a turtle from the net she found on the beach. Gisele found the turtle upside down, tangled in a net. She freed the turtle and flipped it over. She carried the turtle to the ocean when she saw it was too tired to walk on its own.

When Gisele Bundchen’s wholesome act earned Lewis Hamilton’s respect

Gisele, in the video’s caption posted on Instagram, wrote, “Life is a series of opportunities that appear daily, and we choose what to do with them. Today was no different.” She wrote about how she rescued the helpless animal while walking with her dog Onyx and how the turtle had caught Onyx’s attention.

“Early this morning, I was walking on the beach and Onyx started barking at a pile of ocean trash that had washed during high tide. When I came closer, I saw this beautiful turtle turned upside down with a look of hopelessness and exhaustion in her eyes, her body knotted and entangled in a fishing net.”

Many celebrities lauded Gisele’s kindhearted act. Lewis Hamilton and her then-husband Tom Brady had similar responses, posting a heart.
