Lewis Hamilton is one of the most popular figures in F1. He has a crazy fan following all around the world and millions of people wish to meet the Billion Dollar Man someday. However, one such fan’s dream came true in Italy. She got the incredible opportunity to meet the Mercedes ace in Monza.

If you have a chance to meet one of the GOATs of your generation, what do you do? You do everything in your power to make it happen, right? One lucky fan in Monza did just that, as she met Lewis Hamilton in the Italian GP.
She got his autograph on her thigh and described her experience of meeting Lewis in an emotional Instagram post. The girl explained how they went to the paddock early morning, hoping they might meet Lewis. Safe to say, their plan paid off.
She wrote, “I did manifest this encounter, the stars were probably aligned perfectly and maybe my father pulled some strings up there – yet I still can’t believe it actually happened. And not in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would end up in his photo dump but there you go!”

The young fan added, “I think anyone that has had the privilege to meet him will agree: there is something about him that is hard to put in words. His presence is incredible and he exudes nothing but kindness, warmth and a sense of peace.”

She ended the post on a funny note, joking about covering his signature in plastic before taking a shower. It was definitely a dream come true for the young fan.
Lewis Hamilton suffered car damage in Monza despite having no contact
Starting the race from the 19th position, Lewis Hamilton successfully evaded contact on the first lap. However, the Mercedes driver revealed he had damaged his car despite not having made contact with anyone.
Hamilton said, “I didn’t touch anybody, I don’t think, but I saw some bits flying off other people’s cars that hit mine and I think that damaged the front flap over the tire, Those things, I don’t even know what they’re for, but it was flapping.”

He added, “They get in the way of your view, that’s all.”
The Briton still managed an impressive top 5 finish after the Safety Car in the ending stages halted his progress. Lewis and Mercedes will be looking to win their first race of the season before the season ends.
