“nice to see three Red Bull cars on the podium” Max Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez initiated a war with the Lawrence Stroll-owned outfit, Aston Martin at Bahrain. Though the RB TP Christian Horner wanted to take a supposed high road by saying “imitation is the biggest form of flattery”, the unease amongst the reigning champions is evident. And Fernando Alonso seems to have caught on to the opportunity to stir the pot.
The departure of Dan Fallows in favor of Red Bull and the subsequent revelation from Milton Keynes that the ex-RB aero chief took a couple of engineers with them who have replicated the car from the memory. To add to the heads-turning Aston Martin’s way to grabbing onto credit, Mercedes Boss Toto Wolff also came out to outline Aston’s similarities with the Silver Arrows. However, Fernando Alonso is someone you don’t mess with. He has put his green car in a place where he starts on the front row and also gave a crisp answer to the growing rumor mill.
Alonso joked about Red Bull saying that the Aston Martin looks like the Red Bull and mentioning that Toto also said that the Aston Martin looks like the Mercedes:

As quoted by Express.co, Fernando said, “I don’t think, you know, two Red Bulls are on the first row tomorrow. I think they are very different. Red Bull said that the cars were the same, but they are very different. And also Toto said that the cars were the same: the Mercedes and the Aston because we share 50 percent of the car or something like that. But it seems that everyone is an Aston Martin now.”
And it wasn’t just Nando’s words that shot the negative buzz down, but also his performance in qualifying as he is set to begin from the first row in Jeddah.
Fernando Alonso claps back against Red Bull’s accusations
The Matador and self-proclaimed “anti-hero” is set to attack the Red Bull driver by Perez after being on the offense this time around with “everyone is an Aston Martin now”. The F1 Twitter had a blast seeing “chad” Alonso in action. For the uninitiated, the slang Chad translates to a popular confident male. Have a look at a few Tweets listed below:

Well to be honest, the design of the car looks like a RB, but is powered by Mercedes.
So 50/50
