With each passing race, the relationship between Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari has steadily grown worse. This has got to a stage where there is a possibility that Vettel may not see out the season with the Maranello outfit.
They are set to part ways at the end of the 2020 season. Unfortunately, Vettel would be deluding himself if he thinks that he will get a swan song with Scuderia Ferrari.
So far, the German driver has notched a mere 10 points this season. Now, another nail in the coffin is his increasing criticism of the team. At the recently concluded 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, Vettel took a stab at the marquee’s strategy.

During the race, he spun at the start and had to pit earlier than usual. Since then, he tried to make his recovery drive from dead last but failed to finish inside the points.
As he witnessed his day going downhill, all he could say on the radio was, “This is the gap that we didn’t like, we spoke about it this morning. I’ll hang in there, but you know you’ve messed up.”

Will Sebastian Vettel actually leave before the season ends?
According to former F1 driver, Jolyon Palmer, Vettel could potentially leave even earlier. Speaking to BBC Five Live’s Chequered Flag podcast, he said, “I don’t know if he can [see out the season with Ferrari]. It’s just getting more and more toxic by the day, not even by the race.
“He’s basically performing really badly compared to Leclerc, who is the golden boy at Ferrari.”

The Monegasque driver is only in his second season with Ferrari, but he is already outpacing Vettel. To make matters better for him, he earned a fat contract earlier this year and appears to be their star man.
On the other side of the garage is poor old Sebastian Vettel, scrounging for points and visibly on his last legs. With five races done and dusted, 10 points is a paltry figure.
The German is convinced that something is wrong with his car, and his relationship with Ferrari is deteriorating by the day. Interestingly, Marc Priestley, former F1 mechanic, believes that this saga goes even deeper.

According to him, the problem largely stems from the work environment at Scuderia Ferrari, which isn’t suiting Vettel
