There’s a difference between patting a back and patting someone’s bum. One is considered supportive, while the other can be considered disrespectful. Yes, Horner’s wife Geri Horner once patted His Majesty King Charles III’s bum when he was a Prince. The Spice Girl met with His Royal Highness back in 1997 when she patted the Royal figure, which was, of course, a breach of protocol.
Back then, it was reported that Geri Horner pinched the bum of His Majesty. However, a few year later, Ginger Spice opened up about the incident. She shared that she only patted the bum of His Royal Highness and did not pinch.
Talking about this, as per The Mirror, Geri Halliwell conveyed, “I didn’t pinch Prince Charle’s bum, as was reported. I patted it. Patting him on the bottom was against royal protocol, but we’re all human.”

“There was a lot of nervous energy, young women, happy antics,” concluded the Spice Girl’s Ginger Spice.
Geri Horner also kissed His Royal Highness
The Spice Girl didn’t stop at patting His Majesty but also kissed him on his cheek. This all happened when he met with the girl group back in 1997.

Thankfully, His Majesty saw the funny side and took the incidents lightly as he invited one of his sons to meet the Girl group in 1997. His Highness King Charles III and his son Prince Harry met them in South Africa along with Nelson Mandela.

Additionally, His Royal Highness sent the Spice Girl a note after she left the group in 1998. With “the group will not be same without you,” note that ended with “lots of love“, Geri Horner indeed loved the sweet gesture from His Majesty as she was “very touched.“
