George Russell has promised a better Mercedes performance. The driver put on a phenomenal performance as he made a leap from P12 to P5. The race was really intriguing overall, with the safety car coming in at the very end. Overtaking was understandably tough and drivers were spinning off the track.

Russell managed to keep ahead of the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. He was consistently fighting throughout the race and was rewarded. In an intelligent move, the Briton even asked to wait for pit lane tire change and made the right decision. Coming out in front of his teammate, Russell was very smart throughout.

The 24-year -old is still humble as ever and keeps his head down. He said, ” I’ve total faith and confidence that is in there somewhere, we just need to understand how to unlock it and I think we can find chunks and chunks of lap time if we just find that killer key to get in the perfect spot. “

“The guys are working day and night back at the factories to find a solution you know, and we all believe we can so we need to stick to our guns, keep pushing down in this direction and its gonna be a number of races before we sort of sail right.”

This was very insightful and wise of George. He seems to be doing great in the car and has consistently kept ahead of Hamilton now. To make it to the top 5 from P12 has to be sensational.
