George Russell’s GF Carmen Mundt Reveals Anecdote About Her First Meet With the Mercedes Star

George Russell and Carmen Mundt started dating during the summer of 2020. That was when the current Mercedes man was still a Williams driver. The pair only made their relationship public during the Tuscan GP that year when they walked down the paddocks hand-in-hand. Since then, they have regularly posted pictures and videos from their many vacations but never told how they met each other. Carmen recently revealed that during an Instagram AMA.

Being a finance graduate from London, Carmen works for an investment firm. While she admits that accompanying George for race weekends gets her mind away from work, she still remains dedicated to her job. Recently, during the SVB crisis, she revealed how it gave her a lot more to study and read about.

How Carmen Mundt and George Russell met

Carmen was born in Spain and stayed there until she was 18. To pursue her graduation, she moved to London and that is where she met the Mercedes heartthrob. Recently, while getting bored waiting for her flight, Carmen asked her Instagram followers to ask her anything. In one of the questions in Spanish, a fan asked her about how she met George.

She replied in both Spanish and English. The English version on her Instagram Story read, “George and I met through a mutual friend in London.”

As fans, we wished she revealed a bit more, but she perhaps wanted to respect the privacy of their mutual friend that brought them together. Answering other questions, she revealed more about her life and George’s.

Is it hard for Carmen to take time out to accompany George for races?

Once the season ends or there is a break in between, drivers love relaxing and visiting places of their choice. However, once the season is on, it can get quite hectic given how much they have to travel. Carmen accompanies George to many races and at least when it comes to travel, is living the life of an F1 driver. The question then arises, is she a fan of it?

When a fan asked her that during the AMA, she replied, “Not at all. Takes my head away from work and I enjoy the sport and spending time with him. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than G’s success.”

However, when it came to the traveling part, she revealed she wasn’t a fan, “Yes. Traveling is quite draining and time consuming. I’m trying to reduce it as much as possible.”

Carmen and George are among those select few F1 couples fans absolutely adore. All the love is well deserved as Carmen simply posted a picture of them together when a fan asked her who supports her the most for her job. She clearly is holding her part with aplomb.
