Daniel Ricciardo is a big fan of his music. The Aussie driver constantly shares his favorite tracks on his social media pages. Recently, one song he featured in broke into the Top-100 songs for the year 2021.

Triple J released its hottest 100 songs of the year 2021. On the list on number 57 was a song by the Sydney Indie band Gang of Youths, which featured Daniel Ricciardo. They credited him on the song for playing percussion upon its release. The song has got over 2.5 million votes and made it to the Top-100 list.

Daniel Ricciardo explains the importance of music in his life

As reported by Planetf1, Ricciardo recently was featured in the GQ magazine. There, he revealed the significance of music in his life and how it helps him prepare before the start of the race.

“Music is that one constant feature before every race to keep me focused, stay relaxed, keep energized and stay loose. It’s weird how music can help me block out noise before the race,said Ricciardo.

Daniel revealed that 2021 was the most difficult year of his life, professionally and personally. He could not visit his family in Australia due to heavy lockdown rules in the country. The McLaren driver revealed how staying away from home can affect a driver on the track.

“I wouldn’t say it affects me in the act of driving. But particularly when maybe it doesn’t go well, it definitely has an effect because all you want is some of that support and family love. And also when it doesn’t go well, you can also feel very lonely,” said Daniel.

The Aussie driver will look to bounce back in the 2022 season after resting during the off-season. He needs a strong season in 2022 to challenge his teammate Lando Norris and other drivers in the midfield. Hopefully, being at home will make him more relaxed going into a crucial year.
