The 2022 F1 calendar is moving to the third race this season in Melbourne. The ongoing season is one of the biggest schedules so far with 23 races. Also, the 2022 season will introduce a new American race, the Miami Grand Prix. But Miami and the US Grand Prix wouldn’t be the only races held in the USA as the Las Vegas GP also received the green light for the 2023 season.

The nightlife of Las Vegas is famous throughout the world. And the city will finally host a Formula One race starting next season. F1 fans would get to enjoy the F1 challengers running through the Las Vegas streets, which will pass by many world-famous restaurants and casinos. The new circuit in Las Vegas is speculated to be a big hit on its debut next season.

Undoubtedly, this new race will profit both, Formula One and the city. Even Nevada governor Steve Sisolak believes that hosting an F1 race in Las Vegas will help the city’s economy to grow. Although, it will also change many policies for the city. Usually, there are no press conferences after 7:30 PM in Vegas, but there will be when the F1 races will be hosted next season.

Sisolak said, “We don’t normally have a press conference at 7:30 pm at night, but this is unusual. We know the economic impact that F1 is going to have on this community is enormous.”

The Las Vegas GP in 2023

The Las Vegas circuit is a street circuit that runs through the city under the lights at night. Also, the circuit will pass by many renowned casinos in Las Vegas. Further, the circuit is 3.8 miles long and features three long straights along with many high speed-corners and a single chicane section. There are speculations that the Las Vegas GP will be a 50 Laps long race and cars can hit up to 210 mph.

The Las Vegas circuit has hosted two F1 races in the past. But the venue is returning to the F1 calendar after over four decades. Further, the Las Vegas GP won’t be a traditional Sunday race instead, it would be on Saturday. The FIA and Formula One decided to go with a Saturday race to suit the American audience.
