Racing Point comes out to be a strong contender for that third spot in the race for the Constructors’ Championship. Lance Stroll won P2 at Monza after a huge debacle, and that taste of glory has left the Silverstone-based outfit hungry for more. However, Lawrence Stroll and Otmar Szafnauer have had to face heavy criticism for replacing Sergio Perez.

Otmar Szafnauer and his crew gear up for another tense weekend in Russia. However, Otmar clarified several things before their weekend at Sochi. A headliner among those was his attempt at justifying Lance Stroll’s retention to race alongside Sebastian Vettel.
“He’s in the ascendancy and clearly demonstrating his talent, and why he is fully deserving of his place alongside Sebastian next year,” declared Szafnauer.
Admittedly, Lance has been performing much better than his present teammate. Bar his unfortunate DNF at Mugello, the racer has made it to a points finish every time. He has always been right behind the winners, securing for the team.
Though the entire grid is aware of Lawrence Stroll’s politics in manipulating decisions, Lance is living up to his promise. Since moving ahead from Williams to Racing Point, the racer has improved by leaps and bounds.
Otmar also clarified a few other doubts. Regarding the team’s performance this season, he was sure that Racing Point will scale greater heights in the days to come.
