Without a doubt, Scuderia Ferrari is the most successful Formula 1 team in the history of the sport. Statistically, they are the team that has 15 driver’s championships and 16 constructors’ championships under their belt. However, the team that was successful has now become the subject of a bizarre bet. A bet that was made after seeing Charles Leclerc and the company’s downfall in the last few years, specifically in 2022.
Dan Drury, a former Red Bull employee, made the weird bet on his social media after news broke that Ferrari’s 2023 challenger, Ferrari 675, posted an improved simulator time. As per reports, it is around one second faster than its predecessor F1-75. When the information hit on social media, Drury took no time to place a bizarre bet on it.
Ok, so my Lance Stroll bet is a bit wild, so just for you Vincenzo, one that has more chance of winning:
If Ferrari wins either Championship this year, I will drive to Maranello from London in a Fiat Panda to hand deliver an apology letter. https://t.co/T4x0AGLnRL

The ex-Red Bull engineer, who worked for the Milton-Keynes-based team for over six years, took to his social media account on Twitter and wrote, “If Ferrari wins either Championship this year, I will drive to Maranello from London in a Fiat Panda to hand deliver an apology letter.”
Drury, being a former Red Bull employee, needs to make sure his ex-team helps him to win the bet.

If not, he surely has to know the road and the efforts he needs to go through to go to Italy from the UK. Interestingly, Vincenzo Landino, another renowned F1 personality, asked the Fiat Panda, the road car Drury will use to travel, to be from 1980s.
Can Ferrari win in 2023 to make Dan Drury drive all the way to Maranello?
The Ferrari F1 team had a shockingly underwhelming season in 2022. After so much hype during pre-season testing, the expectations were sky-high. With both the championships as the target, the team from Italy failed massively, as Red Bull and Max Verstappen dominated the entire season.
However, with some instrumental changes, the Prancing Horse is cooking something great for 2023. Moreover, they are all ready for round two as they have reportedly prepared a beast back at their Maranello base. According to a report by Formula 1.uno, the new Ferrari 675 is one second faster than F1-75.

Talking about this, F1 Technical Analyst, Piergiuseppe Donadoni shared, “From our information, the numbers from the Ferrari simulator are extremely positive, with highly-qualified sources revealing that the 2023 car is over one second faster than last year’s machine.”
“This is an intriguing estimation from the Maranello camp, considering the 2023 regulations introduce significant variations in terms of overall aerodynamic load,” he concluded.
