Do you recall how everyone wished for the Mercedes dominance to end after the first couple of years of the Turbo Hybrid era? It wasn’t until the 2021 season that Max Verstappen would beat Lewis Hamilton to secure the first non-Mercedes championship after 7 years. As Lewis Hamilton recently proposed an idea to end Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s dominance, a Former F1 team boss has joined forces with the Briton. Let’s see what the Ferrari Boss has to say.

Lewis Hamilton recently suggested that the FIA should introduce a rule where teams cannot start the development of their next year’s car before a specific date. He suggested this to prevent a dominance like Red Bull’s to be carried forward into next year. The Austrian Team has already started working on their next year’s car. Max Verstappen in response to Hamilton’s statement said “Life is not fair”. As this argument was settling, the former F1 Team owner brought up Red Bull’s dominance once again.

Eddie Jordan recently suggested that he hopes for a non-Verstappen race winner at the British GP. Jordan advised that it’ll be amazing to see Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton or any other driver from Britain win the race this weekend. The former team owner wished to see a change in Red Bull’s dominance. The Milton Keynes-based team has won every race since the start of the 2023 season.

Over the last couple of years, Silverstone hasn’t really been a happy hunting ground for Verstappen. He finished P7 last year and had the Infamous crash at Copse in 2021. Despite this, Max Verstappen is confident coming out a strong weekend in Austria and expects to be competitive around Silverstone.

Max Verstappen had a very strong Weekend in Austria where the Dutchman swept the Grod clean by taking Maximum points home which included the fastest lap attempt toward the end. Verstappen at the moment looks unbeatable. With Silverstone being home to many teams including Red Bull who have their factory setup nearby, the 25-year-old wishes to carry his form into this weekend and hopes for a clean and strong weekend.

According to News.Verstappen.com, Max Verstappen said “Heading into another home race for us as a team this weekend in Silverstone. It’s a great track to go to and I’m also curious to see how the RB19 will perform there. There’s always a good atmosphere with a lot of passionate racing fans around the whole track. Austria was an incredible weekend for us and hopefully, we can have a strong weekend again in Silverstone, with a solid and clean performance.”
