Never known to mince his words, Fernando Alonso can have a separate compilation of the brutal, impulsive truth he spits. “The engine feels great! Much slower than usual,” said a very triggered Alonso when his McLaren-Honda setup was still slow despite all the effort. However, unlike in the past, Alonso, pretty happy with his own team, decided to take a jibe at his old motoring home, where he won his two championships. And the distasteful jab didn’t sit well with many.

Alonso arrived in F1 and took the crown from the seven-time champion, Michael Schumacher. And he did it in his Renault. While the man left the team after claiming two titles, he went back to seek shelter from his first love when the McLaren stint didn’t impress him. But still jumping ship, the man then went to be at Ferrari and then moved back to McLaren, but after the superbly underwhelming stay decided to retire.

His comeback opportunity was incidentally provided by Renault, which had now rebranded itself as Alpine. But the man, forgetting every bit of the past, made a harsh remark as he snubbed Esteban Ocon, driving for a team where it all began.

In the Free Practice 2 session, Esteban Ocon disrupted Nando while doing a lap. And the pissed cheeky Spaniard asked If Alpine was competing with the Aston Martin team in Free Practice. To this, his engineer replied in the affirmative, asking him to be careful.

But Alonso wasn’t even careful with his words, to begin with as he said, “Yes, understood. Free practice is his [Esteban Ocon] moment.” And fans have not taken this well.

Fans tear Fernando Alonso to shreds after his remark against Alpine

Fernando had made a comeback to Formula 1 after he had hung his boots for a few years and had found solace in the team, which brought him the tag of double world champion. However, seeing that all love is lost between the two, with Nando now making unkind remarks about the team, F1 Twitter decided to remind him of the old days.

It is said one shouldn’t forget where they came from, but rule breaker Fernando has done the opposite, as he has been constantly making remarks about the French team since his departure.
